GENERAL
Q: Who are you?
A: We are a small IT Training and development company based in Southwark, London. Where we have specialised in IT Training in the past, we are starting to move more towards IT Training room hire due to high demand.
Q: Do you provide instructions on how to use your training rooms?
A: Yes. When your booking has been confirmed and paid for we will send you a confirmation email with an outline of what we will be providing you, as well as a PDF document outlining all details.
Q: How many training rooms do you have?
A: We have two 6-seater training rooms,
three 17-seater training rooms, and one 35-seater training room. Our
35-seater room is located 5 minutes walk from our main office.
Q: What is included in your advertised prices?
A: A whiteboard, a flipchart, air
conditioning, a ceiling mounted data projector, wireless high speed broadband,
water, unlimited tea, coffee & biscuits.
Q: What is your Company Registration number and VAT Number?
A: Our trading name is Progressive Training and Development. Our company number is 04783068, and our VAT Number is GB935429408.
Q: Do you have someone present at the office during the day?
A: Yes. Our staff are based at 202 Blackfriars Road Monday to Friday during working hours.
We will also have staff available after hours
when necessary.
ACCESS / HOURS
Q: What are your opening hours?
A: Our training rooms are available 24 hours a day.
Our staff are around from 8:30am till 5:30pm, and will also be around as and
when necessary after hours.
Q: Do you have wheelchair access?
A: We only have wheelchair access at
our 35-seater training room in Risborough Street.
CATERING
Q: We would like to bring in our own catering. Is this allowed?
A: Yes. However, we will charge an admin fee of
£15 per day.
Q: Where are the buffet meals served?
A: You have a choice of the buffet meal being delivered to
your training room, to our reception room where we serve tea & coffee all day,
our roof terrace if the weather is good, or our caterer's location, just 5
minutes walk from our offices.
LAPTOPS AND IT
Q: We require IT equipment. Do you have onsite IT Support?
A: Yes. We have a partnership with an IT company
located just 5 minutes down the road that provide support as and when we require
it.
Q: Are we allowed to install our own software onto your laptops?
A: Yes, please confirm the details with
us.
Q: Can we leave our software on your laptops between bookings?
A: Yes, as long as your next booking is confirmed and the deposit has been paid.
Q: If I book a training room with laptops, can I also have mice?
A: Mice are provided as standard.
Q: What operating system do you use?
A: Windows XP
Q: What version of MS Office do you have on your laptops?
A: We have partitioned our drives so that you can log into the Office 2003 installation, or Office 2007 installation
Q: Do you have MS Access installed on your computer?
A: Yes
Q: I require a FULL installation of MS Office for my training course. Can I be sure that your laptops have all features installed?
A: Yes
Q: We want to run an online training course. Is your internet connection strong enough?
A: Yes. We have 24 meg broadband with a 2.5 meg upload speed, as well as a second broadband line to spread the load or offer a backup broadband source. All rooms are fully broadband cabled, and we have a strong and secure wireless setup as well.
PAYMENTS AND DISCOUNTS
Q: What type of discounts do you offer?
A: We give a 5% discount for 5-10 days, 10% for
11 to 15 days, and a 15% discount for 16+ days. We also offer an extra 5% off for registered charities if you provide us with your registered number.
Q: Do you accept card payments? Q: Where can I park? 1. NCP Parking (£1 per 20 minutes up to a maximum of £17 per day) 2. Union Car Parks (£12 for the day - 6am till 8pm) Q: Is there somewhere I can park after hours?
A: Yes. We use SagePay to process our card payments. We accept all major credit cards, including AMEX (incurs a 3.5% charge) and Corporate Credit Cards (incurs a 2% charge). Debit cards, and personal Credit cards are free of charge.
PARKING
A: There are two parking companies within 8 minutes walk of our offices.

A: I believe you can park on a yellow line after hours, but please call Southwark Council on 0844 800 2736 to confirm as these rules tend to change regularly.
